Porcupine on the attack

I was watching TV the other night and heard something knocking on the deck.  I went out to look and saw a porcupine chewing on my wood broom.  It looked up at me and decided that it was going to continue gnawing the broom.  I grabbed an old running shoe and threw it at the animal.  Well, he did not like that!

Building my garage

I found a really good contractor to build my garage - Quality Windows and Renovations.  They are based out of Golden Lake.  The builders were true experts in every way.  I never had to worry about a thing.  They build the garage like it was their own.  Thanks guys!  Great job!  I also lucked out and found a great excavator by the name of Mr. McGrath.  He not only set up the base for the garage but he also dug a 250 long trench to run the hydro line from the garage, up the hill to the house.  Wow, you had to see it to believe it!  I am anxious to insulate and drywall the garage this coming spring (2012).   Yes, I know, I  have to paint the man door brown!

Summer at Pete's

This was my first summer at the lake.  I really did choose the right place for my retirement.  I have been dreaming about living on the lake since I was in my 30's.  I am finally there. Life is great!
